The second solo concert of the VooDoo piano duo as part of the Junger Künstler Festival, Bayreuth was held in the Mehrzwecksaal in Brand, not far from Bayreuth. The importance of this place is great in the sphere of music and composer’s legacy of the 20th century precisely because it bears the title of the birthplace of the composer Max Reger. Works for one piano four hands were performed:
• L. van Beethoven – 8 Variations on theme “Grafen Von Waldstein” Woo 67
• F. Schubert – Lebensstürme Op. 144, a – minor
• F. Schubert – Fantasia Op. 103, F – minor
• B. Smetana – Vltava
• J. Strauss – Die Fledermaus
A wonderful ambience and an exceptional audience that greeted the end of the concert with a standing ovation made this concert an unforgettable experience. And the dedication of the locals in preserving the memory of the aforementioned composer should not be overlooked, in whose honor his birthplace was turned into a wonderful museum.
